Updated Covid Exposure Response

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Your commitment to our mission is critical to remain operational. Common Pantry relies heavily on volunteers. As an essential resource to thousands of people, we will make ongoing adjustments and decisions based on public health guidelines and best practices to ensure we stay open. The guidelines below apply to all vaccinated individuals, even those who have received the booster shot.

Vaccination (fully vaccinated is still considered two weeks after two shot series or two weeks post J & J shot):

● Common Pantry requires all staff and volunteers provide proof of vaccination only once. Please bring proof of your card to your shift.

● We will have someone on site to confirm and record your status upon entering the pantry prior to your shift beginning. No exceptions can be made.

Masks: We will continue to wear masks at all times and require anyone without an KN95 to be double masked (Common Pantry can provide you with a surgical mask). Please make sure your mask is well-fitting and worn properly over your nose and mouth.

Shifts:

● If you are exhibiting COVID symptoms, specifically a fever or chills, loss of smell/taste, cough, extreme fatigue or body aches, nausea/intestinal issues, cancel your shift through the online platform or emailing volunteercoord@commonpantry.org.

● We understand other viruses mimic COVID and can be attributed to other medical conditions, but please do not come in for your shift if you are feeling sick.

Positive for COVID:

● We require a volunteer not to come to the pantry for 10 days after symptoms first appear.

● All staff will be required to provide a negative rapid or PCR after 5 days in quarantine

● If asymptomatic, we require that person to not come to the pantry for a minimum of 5 after quarantined days before volunteering again.

Communication:

● Please alert us via email volunteercoord@commonpantry.org if you test positive and have been at the pantry within 5-7 days of your volunteer shift.

● All volunteers who were exposed will be notified via email, phone call or text.

● We will continue to communicate our updated procedures and policies regularly by posting in the pantry, via email and the website.
